CyberLink Corp Irving, TX July 1997 - Present. Director of Marketing As Director and sole employee for this entity, I designed and built the entire marketing department from scratch. The following accomplishments were premeditated, conceived and executed without benefit of staff or assistants unless germane to that particular project:
Founding member of the first team to create a totally interactive, full length feature Internet cartoon series, “hexdecimal”. This entirely unique creation allowed users and sponsors alike to interact with the actual episode by cleverly hyperlinking sponsors as an integral aspect of the animation. A viewer could actually click on the name, picture, logo or whatever key queue we provided and launch a browser session for that client. This is an excellent vehicle for majors players like Visa, Coca Cola etc.
Wrote, directed and produced the company high tech television show “CyberLink USA”. The process allowed local high tech companies to actually appear on our television show, which was then to be downloaded to a central site with a click through on the client’s website. So anyone visiting their site could click their “Television Screen” and watch an episode of their choosing. The client could change this as often as they liked in an effort to present relevant company news on a weekly basis, stockholder information, company sales meetings, introduce new products, provide a hands on tutorial for existing products or just about any other concept from company to buyer or partner that was more persuasive visually than via mere graphics or text.
Developed three separate and unique business plans than created a data rich media banner email that was electronically sent to the selected venture firms or investors. Clicking the specialized banner brought the designated representative directly to an on-line version of the business plan. The plan was so successful that it brought interest from over ten different buyers in the course of a year and a half. The company is still negotiating with some of those investors right now.
Provided all product and market research for new products. The company VAR division continually used by talents to create paper and electronic media marketing pieces to introduce new and existing products after thoroughly qualifying unique buying points by researching the end user market.
Developed strategies for sales and marketing. By working closely with the division heads and team members, I was able to systematically evaluate the viability of new products, design effective marketing, telemarketing and sales strategies then tie them together with a data rich email internet marketing concept allowing one person to do be three times as productive in sales.
Responsible for tradeshows and conventions. Regularly put together entire strategies for tradeshows, which included the design of the floor presentation for aesthetics and functionality. I created all the paper handouts and chose the incentives and giveaways. I even collaborated and trained the floor personnel on sales and marketing strategies. I was solely responsible and negotiated all the necessary aspects of the show from delivery of electricity and connectivity to booth setup and breakdown.
Developed, designed and wrote all marketing pieces both electronic and paper for all three divisions of the company. I created from scratch all the slogans, corporate branding (verbiage) and critical correspondence as well as the actual marketing product, which included collaborating on the design and functionality of all web sites and web marketing programs.
Responsible for all formal written correspondence with primary clients and vendors. It was my mandate that the marketing department review all “key” communications sent to select companies (buyers, vendors, partners etc.), which were deemed high value relationships insuring a consistent and high impact corporate communication.
Developed a program for detailing, accessing and securing over ,000 in coop advertising funds within seven months at an internal cost to the company of less than ,000.00. This did not include my salary of course but was only a small part of my overall contribution.
